Glashütte Original Senator Chronometer Regulator

The Quintessential Workhorse
Available in your choice of red or white gold the Senator Chronometer Regulator is the quintessential workhorse. Time, date and power reserve are all displayed on a beautifully refined Regulator-style dial, with minutes shown on the main dial, whilst the hours are indicated on a sub-dial at 12 o’clock and the small seconds on another at 6 o’clock. Everything feels well balanced and easy to read, making this the perfect accompaniment for those more formal occasions when you can only manage discrete glances at your wrist. Rest assured though plenty of others will be staring thanks to the striking contrast of the blue-steeled hands against the lacquered silver-grainé dial.

The movement is the in-house, manual winding Calibre 58-04 and features a very handy second-zero-stop-mechanism that allows for a more precise setting of the time. Essentially, when you disengage the crown to set the time the second hand jumps to zero and stays there. As you turn the crown the minute hand is advanced forward in exactly one minute increments, meaning that it will always be on one of the minute indices when the seconds hand starts again, thus ensuring the two are always aligned for maximum accuracy.
To give you further peace of the mind the Senator Chronometer Regulator is, as the name suggests, a certified chronometer, with the entire watch (cased up and completed) undergoing a 15-day test under the watchful eyes of the German Calibration Service (DKD) before receiving its certificate.
Pricing to be confirmed but given the metals used and the in-house certified chronometer, they won’t come cheap. Then again most things in life worth having rarely do.
